On March 1st, we communicated a price increase effective May 1, 2025, driven by rising business costs. Since then, there have been significant developments regarding tariffs.<\/p>\n
As a customer-centric organization, we\u2019ve carefully reviewed feedback and the evolving situation. In response, we\u2019ve decided to integrate the tariff impact into our list pricing to maintain transparency and reduce complexity. As such, the previously announced price increase will now include tariff-related adjustments, effective May 1, 2025, as originally scheduled. While Schwank continues to source the vast majority of our components from local suppliers, we are well-positioned to minimize the impact of these tariffs. Our team is closely monitoring trade developments and will provide detailed updates as more information becomes available.<\/p>\n
Quotations prepared and submitted by Schwank are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated.<\/p>\n
Ship date and delivery site contact details are required in all purchase orders submitted. Orders are entered into production and shipped at the earliest available date unless otherwise stated on the purchase order.<\/p>\n
If the customer does not release an order within six months of the entry date, Schwank reserves the right to adjust the pricing.<\/p>\n
All products are sold FOB factory. In the event of shipping damage, Schwank\u2019s responsibility is limited to assisting the Buyer with a freight claim. If replacement products are required, a new purchase order at price from the original shipment should be provided by the Buyer.<\/p>\n
On-time delivery and short lead times are crucial for our customers. Therefore, Schwank reserves the right to charge storage fees due to limited warehouse space.<\/p>\n
Storage fees will be applied to customer invoices if:
– An order has not been picked up within 10 days of the original scheduled pick\/ship date on the order confirmation
– An order gets delayed per the customer\u2019s request, and the revised ship date is more than 10 days after the original scheduled ship date on the order confirmation.<\/p>\n
Storage fees are as follows:
– Standard 4-foot pallets – $25.00 per pallet per week while the order is delayed.
– Non-standard or oversized palettes – $50.00 per pallet per week while the order is delayed.<\/p>\n
Schwank shall not be held responsible for any loss, delay, or damages caused by unforeseen circumstances, including the inability to secure material or maintain manufacturing due to fire, strikes, lockouts, accidents, Government acts or requirements, insurrections, or riot, or by any cause beyond the reasonable control of Schwank and Schwank\u2019s suppliers.<\/p>\n
Payment Terms<\/p>\n
A minimum order of $50.00 is required for invoicing.<\/p>\n
Upon approval of credit, payment terms are net thirty (30) days from the date of invoice, unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing. Schwank reserves the rights to apply progress payments on projects.<\/p>\n
Schwank shall have the option to bill for partial shipment, either by original agreement in the purchase order, or due to delays initiated from either party.<\/p>\n
A processing fee of 3.5% will be charged on all invoice payments via credit card.<\/p>\n
Sales and use taxes are the responsibility of the Buyer. Sales tax may be included in the quotation and is based on rates in effect on the date of the quotation. Actual tax will be reflected in final invoicing, where adjustments of pricing and cost of shipment, if any, will be charged to the Buyer\u2019s account.<\/p>\n
A late charge of 2% of the original invoice amount will be charged monthly on all past-due accounts.<\/p>\n
Schwank may decline to accept new purchase orders or release products in case of overdue accounts.<\/p>\n
All returns must be approved on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Schwank. Request for return must be made within 45 days of the original shipment date of the products. Upon the approval of return, the product(s) must be returned within 30 days for credit on account. All goods being returned must be accompanied by a completed Return Authorization Form and must be in \u201cnew condition” and in original packaging\/carton. The buyer is responsible for the shipping cost of any approved returns.<\/p>\n
Upon the approval of returns, a charge of 25% restocking fee may be charged on all re-stockable products. Schwank reserves the right to charge up to 100% restocking fee on built-to-order\/configurable products.<\/p>\n
Unless pre-approved by Schwank, no back charges for labour or material will be accepted or paid.<\/p>\n
For warranty terms, please refer to the Installation and Operation Manuals of products for details.<\/p>\n
In the event of termination of a purchase order, the Buyer shall pay for material and services rendered to make ready the order up to the date of termination, plus cancellation charges determined by Schwank. Cancellation charges, if any, are subject to Schwank\u2019s standard thirty (30) day payment term.<\/p>\n
These terms and conditions are standard for all quotations and projects unless otherwise communicated by Schwank.<\/p>\n
