USA – Schwank gets “Product of the Year Award”
Schwank, the worldwide leader in infrared heating technology, has been recognised for excellence in product design in the 24th annual Product of the Year Award program sponsored by Plant Engineering Magazine.ultraSchwank, the most efficient radiant tube heater in North America, won the Silver Award in the HVAC category. A panel of influential leaders and decision makers acted as judges in the contest that had more than 150 entries from different industry brands. The award ceremony took place at the 2011 Manufacturing/Automation Summit on March 21, 2011 in Chicago.
ultraSchwank was already officially recognised as a “Green Product” at AHR 2011, and in 2010 it won the Dealer Design Award [sponsored by ACHR News] in the heating category.
Schwank is officially recognised as a world market leader
Schwank belongs to the list of German companies that have achieved world market leader status. This was the result of a survey from “Manager Magazin”, carried out recently by Professor Bernd Venohr.
The world market leader award was handed over to Oliver Schwank at the presentation of German World Market Leaders´ Lexicon on the 24th January 2011. With entry to this Lexicon Schwank belongs, according to Florian Langenscheidt, to the elite of German industry, representing the innovation and production quality proven by the internationally recognised seal of approval – “Made in Germany”.
Oliver Schwank: “We are proud of having obtained the status of a world market leader as a medium-sized company. The award belongs to the whole crew and motivates us to better performance and new top results”.
USA – AHR presents Schwank Award for Innovation
On the occasion of the world’s largest trade fair for air conditioning / heating, the AHR Expo, Schwank was honoured for its innovation performance. The increase in efficiency, lower energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions were the main criteria for the award. Just recently Schwank has contributed to various LEED projects [Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design] with valuable points for obtaining gold and also silver awards.
Handelsblatt – Germany’s Top 100 companies
The Handelsblatt, the leading German business newspaper, has chosen Schwank among the top 100 SME enterprises. The main criteria to make it into the top 100 were: market leadership position within the industry and the average growth in recent years. Schwank is the only heating company that not only has landed in the Top 100, but has been set for 36th place.
Schwank again among the TOP 100
After carrying out extensive research, the daily newspaper “Die Welt”, together with the Munich Strategy Group (MSG), determined the TOP 100 medium sized companies in Germany. Schwank has been placed 58th amongst these top 100 companies.
According to the letter of congratulation, companies can only appear among the top managed 100 that are outstanding in their field of competition over a long period of time. Furthermore, the winners are characterized by continuity of business development, stable growth and a strategic vision.
In 2009 the “Handelsblatt” newspaper put Schwank among the top 100 in another study. Both the “Handelsblatt” study and the research result of “Die Weit” acknowledge not only the trend-setting and innovative development of the company, but also the quality of the Schwank Group employees and products.
Grand Award of SME Enterprises
The annual competition award for SME Enterprises supported by the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation has developed since its conception in 1995 to being the main German Award for honouring outstanding organisations. In 2009 3,366 companies and over 1,000 non-profit organisations were nominated.
Schwank was awarded with the prize recognising outstanding business achievements due to the following reasons: overall financial development of the company, the energy savings potential of the products, creation of jobs, level of innovation and social responsibility.
Award by the German Department of Trade and Industry [DTI]
Under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Trade & Industry the second prize was presented to Schwank for outstanding export engagements. The jury paid tribute to Schwank as being a leading organisation in terms of foreign activities. “Schwank has managed to become a world leader in industrial heating solutions due to its innovative products and thanks to its activities in more than 40 countries around the world,” said Mr. W Putzier, President of the Association of the German Export Trade, in his tribute.
The “Polski Instalator” is the highest Polish distinction that is awarded in the area of building technologies. Schwank has received this award for its high-performance product supra Schwank. According to the Polski Instalator, supraSchwank offers the world’s most economical gas-powered heating technology. The innovative product was praised for its high radiation factor of about 80%, and therefore for its outstanding savings potential. In many areas, one can thus achieve savings of well over 60%. To the same degree, the CO2 footprint is reduced and therefore represents a major contribution to the environment.
Schwank has been elected World Champion. Made in Germany.
According to The Association of German Engineers [VDI], Schwank is a World Champion. A vast number of Germany’s Small to Medium Enterprises are world champions of industry and technology leaders. A high level of expertise, innovative products and successful market presence are the properties that the VDI examined in this study. Schwank emerged as the only manufacturer of industrial heating in this campaign. We are proud to be among the world’s best in the industry.
Industry Award 2008
The “Initiative SME” determines the most innovative industrial products and solutions that are characterised by particularly high value and high functionality. In the category of Energy-Schwank received an award for its supraSchwank Infrared Heaters for their outstanding energy efficiency. “This innovative product has distinguished itself from more than 600 submitted applications to be a particularly interesting solution”, Mr. P. Oberacker, commented during the ceremony.
